Samsung is said to pack high-end specs in the Galaxy S6 to compensate for the unpopularity and low sales of the Galaxy S5. LG, on the other hand, has reportedly dropped the LG G3 Pro to focus on the production of the LG G4. Thus, consumers can anticipate a fierce battle between these smartphones.

Below is the comparison of the rumored specs and features of Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4:

Screen display

Leaked benchmarks reveal that Samsung's Galaxy S6 will sport a 5.5-inch screen panel, while some reports claim that the smartphone will not pass the 5-inch mark. LG's G4, on the other hand, is rumored to feature a 5.3-inch screen display. Both smartphones will reportedly boast quad HD (1440 x 2560) pixel resolution.

Processor

Both devices are expected to be powered by Qualcomm's next generation Snapdragon 810 chipset with 4 GB of RAM.

Operating system

Being Android-based smartphones, both handsets will run with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Both the S6 and the G4 will come with 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants with microSD slot for additional storage.

Camera

Samsung's offering is rumored to sport a 16-megapixel rear shooter with Optical Image Stabilization technology, while LG's device will reportedly pack a 20.7-megapixel camera at the back with the same technology.

Battery

It is said that the LG G4 will be supported by 3500 mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy S6, on the other hand, will surely come with longer battery life compared to its predecessor.

Release date and pricing

It is predicted that LG will unveil the G4 at the Mobile World Congress 2015, while Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S6 a day ahead of the said tech event. Both handsets will most likely follow the pricing of their predecessors.

However, the two South Korean tech companies announced nothing official yet.
