Samsung Galaxy S7 will be the most powerful flagship in the field if a new leak is any indication. A benchmark test revealed that the Exynos 8890 processor, the chipset that will reportedly be packed in the device, generated a record-breaking score.

The processor garnered an eye-popping score of 103,692 points, basically beating out every top-tier chipset around even the all-new Huawei-made processor called Kirin 950, which only went as high as 65,000 as per GSM Arena.

If the Exynos 8890 processor is in fact that tremendously powerful, the next flagship out of the South Korea-based tech firm, which is the Samsung Galaxy S7, should reflect that kind of immense power.

As WCCFtech notes, Samsung has already proven the pre-eminence of its in-house chipsets with the Exynos 7420, which became one of the best, most potent units when it came out. It is the unit the Galaxy S6 units owes its lauded performance to. It wouldn't be surprising that the company will put out something much better.

It seems that Samsung is pushing the envelope in that department and is working on easily making the Samsung Galaxy S7 the best extant with the said processor. The aforementioned site says that the Exynos 8890 processor is made more performance efficient and space-saving.

But as it is always with leaks, it is still advised to take the report with a pinch of salt. At the moment, GSM Arena says there is still no verification on the produced numbers in the benchmark test although what they corroborate Samsung's determination to come out with a redoubtable phone.

Previous leaks suggest that while Samsung Galaxy S7 will house an Exynos 8890 processor, there will be units that will be fitted out with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Add to that a hefty 4 GB RAM and the flagship will be the handset Samsung promised will introduce.

Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be released in Q1 next year.
