More details about the Samsung Galaxy S7 continue to ooze in with the latest hinting the Type C-USB in the flagship. Sources cited by SamMobile claim that the smartphone will indeed don the new-gen port, which seems to be becoming the standard for new flagships.

As expected, the handset, which is said to be released early next year, will finally ditch the microUSB for the newer type of connector, which has all the rage in the tech world. The news doesn't shock users though as such high-end smartphone was assumed to have the latest in the tech sphere.

The Type C-USB port is reversible, which means that users can plug in their port either way up. Apart from that, it also quickens up important tasks, including charging and file transfer. Many have seen the technology in action in Apple devices, in the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P and OnePlus 2.

Just recently, it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will also boast a 3D Touch-like feature that will allow users to access contextual menus and other functions depending on the pressure of their tap or press. Samsung will allegedly use ClearForce technology by Synaptics to achieve this.

For the uninitiated, Apple introduced the feature in the Apple Watch, which is the tech firm's first smartwatch. Its latest MacBook was then endowed with the technology and not long after, Force Touch, as it is called, became the selling point for the new iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.

Rumors also indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come dressed in magnesium alloy, which should make it look gorgeous and feel lightweight and durable. It will apparently boast a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and a 16-MP/5-MP camera combination.

Reports say that there will be two types of chipsets under the flagship's hood. Some units will allegedly be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor while majority of the Samsung Galaxy S7 releases are expected to be outfitted with either an Exynos M1 chip or an Exynos 7422 processor.
