If the latest rumors turn out to be true, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have the same camera as the Sony Xperia Z5.

Based on recent information posted on Chinese social media site Weibo, the next flagship device from South Korean electronics giant Samsung will be released with the same camera as Sony Mobile's latest high-end smartphone product.

The information revealed that Sony Xperia Z5's 23-MP ISOCELL primary rear-facing camera will also be featured on the next Samsung high-end smartphone. However, there is no confirmation released by both these companies yet.

But aside from the camera features, Samsung is planning to create a new premium product that can stand out against its competitors, including Synaptics' ClearForce contextual touch system. It is also said to sport the Exynos 8890  2, an alleged foldable screen, as well as USB Type-C compatibility.

Based on a report from Gearburn, the Exynos 8890 will be installed on the Samsung Galaxy S7 devices that will be released in the U.S. and the Chinese markets. This will work better compared to the Exynos 7420 that was installed on the previous Samsung Galaxy S6.

More details about the Samsung Galaxy S7 are expected to be unveiled before the device's rumored release date of January 2016.

Meanwhile, the recently released Sony Xperia Z5 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, a variation of Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57, as well as a 32-GB internal memory with 3 GB of RAM.

Other notable features of the Sony Xperia Z5 include the PlayStation Remote Play, which can be used to access the popular gaming console to act as a controller as well as play any PlayStation 4 game using the phone. It also has a digital noise cancellation feature that will benefit the music lovers.
