Those awaiting for the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S7 may soon have a date to mark down on their calendars.

According to Expert Reviews UK, unless Samsung is planning to go in a different direction for their newest phone, folks can expect the Galaxy S7 to make its official debut by Feb. 22.

It's no accident that Feb. 22 also happens to be the first day of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Traditionally, Samsung uses the event as a platform for them to announce their newest Galaxy models, and the company is expected to follow that same pattern for the S7.

The MWC event in Barcelona will run from Feb. 22 all the way to Feb. 25, meaning Samsung could formally announce the Galaxy S7 on any one of those dates.

As of now, Samsung has not provided any official release date for their new phone.

After announcing the Galaxy S7 in February, people can reportedly expect the new phone to hit stores by April, although this has not been confirmed as well.

If Samsung does indeed have plans of moving away from what has been their customary pattern when it comes to unveiling new Galaxy models, then the company is expected to provide updates before the end of the year.

In related news, there could be three different variants of the Galaxy S7 coming out, according to Sam Mobile. The phones would reportedly vary depending on what processor they may be carrying.

For instance, the Galaxy S7 that will be launched in Europe, Japan, and Korea is expected to be powered by the Exynos 8890 processor. For its release in India, the Galaxy S7 could have the Exynos 7422. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S7 model that will be released in China and the United States is then speculated to have the Snapdragon 820 SoC.

Samsung has not confirmed any plans to release three different variants of the Galaxy S7.
