Samsung Galaxy S7 release date, specs rumors 2016: New flagship to come out this March?

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is fast approaching and the latest word on the features of the said flagship is not exactly different from the ones that came out before.

The latest leaks reportedly come from an actual Samsung employee, as reported by Sam Mobile. That includes the Samsung Galaxy S7 shelled in a black chassis and carrying a surprisingly low 12-megapixel camera.

But the thing about the camera is that there were some tweaks to expect. This includes its ability to take shots in low-lit conditions made possible with larger sensors and improved lens for better captured images.

It was again stressed to be dust and water resistant, features not really surprising since the rumor mill had these things before.

According to rumors, the Galaxy S7 will come with a pressure-sensitive display, an Iris scanner, USB Type-C, and the return of the microSD card slot.

As far as the processor tasked to power it is concerned, the device will allegedly use two — Exynos 8890 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The processor in use would depend on which region the Galaxy S7 would be distributed.

So with the latest leaks not really something that can get anyone likely excited, perhaps the release date can.

Known tech industry tipster Evan Blass @evleaks hints that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will likely be out in the market by March. Blass has carved out a niche of being a reliable tipster, proven, and most of the time spot on.

The claim is consistent with a previous call by China Mobile (via Weibo) back in December that the next Samsung flagship will indeed be out by March.

Samsung is expected to debut the Samsung Galaxy S7 as early as Feb. 21 at their 'Unpacked' event, exactly a day before the 2016 Mobile World Congress kicks off.
