Previously, rumors have speculated that Samsung will be unveiling its next flagship product much earlier than expected. Reports have also been suggested that the next Galaxy S7 flagship will be seen as early as January next year.

In the latest round off rumor mills, reports continue to support the early 2016 outing of the Galaxy S7. This time, it is suggested that the flagship is already undergoing tests.

According to Forbes, a tweet by industry tipster Evan Blass suggested that mobile carrier AT&T already got its hands on a working Galaxy S7 and has had it going through tests. In a recent post, Blass said, "AT&T already testing both Galaxy S7 variants (SM-G930A and -G935A), adding weight to rumors of an early- to mid-1Q16 release."

The rumors that Samsung will be releasing the Galaxy S7 in a time frame earlier than its predecessors started with some South Korean publications claiming that the company will be firming up its efforts to conquer a significant segment of the industry. According to observers, the South Korea-based company will be realigning its marketing plans, and these plans include adjusting the timeline for flagship releases starting next year.

Recent reports have suggested that this may be a distinct possibility. It has been speculated that Samsung has already started mass-producing its homegrown Exynos 8890 chipset, said to be the processor that will be running the upcoming flagship device. Meanwhile, with major tech events like the annual CES and Mobile World Congress conventions happening early in 2016, fans of the Galaxy S7 may see the next iteration as early as January, and February at the latest.

The Galaxy S7 is the next iteration, after the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus variant from the S6 family. According to other speculations, the Galaxy S7 will be launched in three variants right off the bat. A Galaxy S7 base model, S7 Edge, and an S7 Edge Plus will apparently be released simultaneously.
