Samsung Galaxy S7 specs rumors 2015: No significant alterations to next Samsung Galaxy flagship

Will the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S7 bring back the microSD card slot?Samsung

With the year coming to a close, expectations on what new devices to watch out for 2016 has already commenced. And as far as Samsung is concerned, there is high anticipation on the Samsung Galaxy S7 which could be out by the first quarter of 2016.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 has been in the air as of late, something that many Android-crazed fanatics are looking forward to.

A lot of the changes seem to be focused on the inside of the device which hints that the next Samsung Galaxy iteration could carry minimal changes to none once it does get unveiled in the market.

There is growing belief that this would be the case, further supporting the fact that the Galaxy S7 is believed to be something that will be cheaper compared to the Galaxy S6 line. With most folks opting to get cheaper devices with higher specs, such seems to be the new battle cry of the Korean-based company.

So with that said, it remains to be seen if a phone carrying an almost similar exterior to that of the Galaxy S6 will still appeal. That could, of course, change once the official internal specs are confirmed.

A check on the latest buzz on the Samsung Galaxy S7 includes a device likely coming out in two processors (Exynos 8890 and/or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820) and the possible return of the microSD expansion slot which was taken out of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

It will also reportedly get an impressive 12-megapixel main camera, although it could be better.

If the Samsung Galaxy S7 will indeed have minimal (to none) changes, would this also mean that it will no longer have that magnesium alloy body?

Well, most of that remains to be seen and all that could be revealed at the Samsung Unpacked Event which normally takes place before the annual Mobile World Congress, which will take place on February 22–25, 2016.

If that is the case, the Samsung Galaxy S7 could be out by February 21, 2016 — the date of Samsung's annual event wherein new phones are launched.
