Rumor has it that Samsung will integrate a familiar Apple feature into its next flagship, the Galaxy S7. There's word that the South Korea-based company is working on a 3D Touch-like facet, which its competition from Cupertino introduced to the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

Apparently, Samsung is also experimenting on the potentials of screen pressure for their flagship with the ClearForce Technology, which Synaptics introduced a week ago. With this, users can enable new kinds of controls and contextual menu options based on how light or intense the tap is.

It basically works like Apple's Force Touch technology, which the company pioneered with the Apple Watch, later in the new MacBook and finally in its latest iPhone releases. The devices are made to respond differently depending on the force of the user's press.

Users will start to see ClearForce-laden smartphones in early 2016, which is the same timeframe the Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be released. Samsung has yet to speak up about the report, which originated from Chinese social network Weibo, according to CNET. 

Other reports about the Samsung Galaxy S7 focus on its design. Word on the street is that there will be two versions of the flagship, one with a 5.2-inch display and a standard screen and a much bigger one with 5.8-inches and a curved display.

The report from a Vietnam-based publication says that unlike what Samsung did with the S6 (it released an Edge version and a larger Edge Plus variant), the tech firm is allegedly working on just one Edge model this time.

It is unclear if this variant will be donning ClearForce too. It will be interesting to see the feature in action on a curved display.

Samsung Galaxy S7 is said to be released by Samsung around February. The tech firm usually conducts product releases in the month of March but the company is changing things up this year.
