The Samsung Galaxy S7 may end up not featuring any kind of significant change to its overall design.

This is the latest rumor surrounding the Galaxy S7, according to The Korea Times and as reported on by Forbes. The news that Samsung is doing little to change the design of its new flagship is catching some people off guard, especially since leaks over the past few months have indicated that the company is planning on introducing quite a few significant tweaks to other aspects of the phone.

Apparently, the reason behind why Samsung is opting not to change much about the phone's overall design and yet planning to tweak so many other parts of it is because the company supposedly believes that consumers care more about how fast the device works and how clearly their pictures and videos can be shown.

Still, the move may not sit well with some Samsung supporters, especially given how some folks have previously lodged complaints about the glass back that the previous flagship featured. The phone's glass casing would reportedly become difficult to hold depending on the temperature, and if the rumors of a minimum design overhaul are to be believed, then that same issue may emerge yet again in the Galaxy S7.

Features such as varying chipsets and the return of the microSD slot have been rumored for the Galaxy S7, and those too could end up being part of the new flagship.

The Galaxy S7 is, apparently, close to making its debut as well, according to Phone Arena.

Although no official release date for the phone has been announced as of yet, most rumors currently suggest that the Galaxy S7 should be out by February, specifically right around next year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) event.

Separate rumors have also suggested a release date as early as January for the Galaxy S7, although that prediction is similarly unconfirmed.
