One of the more persistent rumors surrounding the Galaxy S7 has suggested that Samsung is planning to feature different processors along with the new phone. 

Specifically, it's been rumored that there will be a Galaxy S7 unit that features Samsung's own brand of Exynos chips and another variant that will be featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 offerings.

While this rumor has not been confirmed, a new report pointing out supposedly leaked model numbers for the Galaxy S7 would seem to suggest that there will be indeed differing units available.

According to ValueWalk, the Galaxy S7 units with model numbers of G930P and G930V will account for the units that will be featuring Qualcomm's chips inside the United States. 

Galaxy S7 units that will be equipped with the Exynos chipset in the United States will reportedly have model numbers of G930F, G930T, and G930A. 

The authenticity of the leaked model numbers has not been confirmed, and given just how fluid the situation is with regard to the Galaxy S7, there's also a chance that they could change altogether as the phone moves closer to an official launch date.

As for what other features might be in the Galaxy S7 aside from different processor options, the new phone from Samsung has also been rumored to have a 5.7-inch display when it eventually comes out.

Rumors of the phone also featuring a different kind of metal composition have also been out there, although these too have not been confirmed, according to Tech Radar. 

Recent rumors have also suggested that the Galaxy S7 could be released earlier than expected, with a possible launch date of Jan. 19 also being mentioned.

Samsung has typically stuck to releasing their new flagship units sometime around March or April, making a January launch date unexpected but a welcome news for the company's fans.
