Samsung Galaxy S7 to sport pressure-sensitive display, high-speed charging port

Will the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S7 bring back the microSD card slot?Samsung

With 2015 coming to a close, it is time to eagerly await what new flagships are in the horizon. And of course, one brand expected to kick it all off in 2016 is Samsung, with its highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S7.

Apparently, there is nothing much to see externally for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy flagship, although much of the improvements seem to have been done on the inside.

Topping all the potential features of the Samsung Galaxy S7 include a pressure-sensitive display as well as a high-speed charging capability as indicated in a post via CNet.

Aside from that pair, there are rumors suggesting that it will come with a new high-speed charging port, as well, which could hint at a possible USB-C port, a retina scanner (on select models), the possible return of the microSD card slot, and a better camera.

Most of these have already come out in the open in recent months, aside from the fact that there is word that the Samsung Galaxy S7 may come out cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S6 series, as earlier reported via Neurogadget.

Although the physical changes may not be that significant, it seems that the Korean company has focused more on the internal specs rather than the outer looks. It remains to be seen if such would affect the interest in the phone, although there are some who prefer the improvements to come from within.

But the obvious highlight here is that rumored pressure-sensitive display. It is apparent that the alleged feature could be Samsung's ticket to come up with a device that can stand up to Apple's 3D Touch, which were highlighted on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. It will be interesting how the pressure-sensitive display feature will turn out.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 will likely be unveiled at Samsung's annual Unpacked event, which is expected to take place before the 2016 Mobile World Congress taking place in February 2016.
