Another new Samsung device is reportedly in the works, and it is the much rumored Samsung Galaxy S7.

The said device, which is codenamed Project Lucky, will come with some of the familiar features of the iPhone 6S and will be topped with a Turtle Glass for added protection aimed at its new magnesium alloy body.

The Korean-based company has already filed for the necessary trademark request for the said Turtle Glass, which will likely replace the old Corning Gorilla Glass. The thing is there is no word if the said glass cover will be protecting only the front and/or back or both.

If true, the magnesium alloy design should make the Samsung Galaxy S7 pretty durable and lightweight, not to mention add some heat dissipation as well in the process.

Aside from that, the Samsung Galaxy S7 could come out with a foldable 5.7-inch OLED display screen. There is no clear word on what processor the next Galaxy device would be using, although there is allegedly a foldable device being tested called Project V.

If this is the Galaxy S7, then the processor being used is a Snapdragon 620 and 820 chipset. Furthermore, the spotted device will come with 3 GB of RAM and come with provisions for microSD, meaning folks won't have to worry about limited storage. The device will, however, come with a nonremovable battery.

The Galaxy S7 will reportedly come with a dual-camera setup as well.

Additionally, word has it that Samsung is planning to release two variants of the said device. The difference could be in the processor.

Assuming that one of them is the one mentioned above running on a 620 or 820 SoC, the other variant could make use of an Exynos M1 chipset.

Regarding the release date, it is believed that Samsung could lift the covers on the Samsung Galaxy S6 by February 2016, probably sometime near the Mobile World Congress which is set for Feb. 22 to 25, 2016.
