After Samsung confirmed that the Unpacked event to launch the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones will happen on the eve of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, leaked renders of the premium handsets have been spotted online. Unlike the previous leaks, the latest one appears to be much more reliable as it came directly from a reputable smartphone accessories manufacturer. Moreover, the expected changes in the new S series phone are enough to make it more expensive than its S8 predecessor.

As reported by Forbes, the leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are posted by DBrand, which is considered to be the most successful smartphone accessory maker worldwide. The company's website has also revealed the alleged photos of the S9 smartphones prior to their MWC launch later in February. The photos confirm that the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will retain the slick design of the S8 and S8 Plus, particularly Samsung's all-screen signature called the Infinity Display.

Many people will doubt the authenticity of the leaked Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus renders, although DBrand is aware that this will be the case. As proof, the company simply states that the accessory sales have already gone live, plus the renders published in their website are very much detailed.

"We measure, cut, apply, and repeat the process with our Galaxy S9 Plus skins over a thousand times until the fit is flawless on your device," DBrand said on its website.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be more expensive than the S8 and S8 Plus when they were first launched last year. According to ETNews, the anticipated specs and feature upgrades of the upcoming flagship are the reason for the latest S series handset's bigger price tag. It is not clear how signficant are the changes expected from the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, although it was tipped by the Korean online publication that the S9 Plus variant will boast a dual-lens camera build.

It is expected that the regular-sized Samsung Galaxy S9 will cost around 959,000 KRW, which is equivalent to USD $885 and £625. On the other hand, the Galaxy S9 Plus will be priced at 990,000 KRW, which is around USD $935 and £660. Although, it is likely that the price of the Galaxy S9 smartphoens outside South Korea will be more expensive.
