Samsung Galaxy Tab Edge release date and specs rumors: Curved tablet coming in Unpacked 2015 today?

Will the next tablet device from Samsung also have the same curved screen like this Galaxy Note product? samsung.com

Aside from the rumored reveal of the Galaxy Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in Samsung's Unpacked 2015 in New York City today, rumors claim that a new addition in the company's tablet line is also included in the company's latest product launch event.

According to speculations, the South Korean electronics and consumer products manufacturer will also be unveiling a new tablet with a curved screen together with the two new smartphone devices.

Rumors began to circulate after Samsung Philippines originally posted a teaser for the Unpacked 2015 event on its website, showing three devices lying on top of another. The two smaller gadgets in the photo can be easily recognized as the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and the other one with a larger screen seemed to be a new tablet product. However, the company replaced their Unpacked 2015 teaser with a simple countdown for the event.

Based on speculations, the upcoming tablet will be called the Samsung Galaxy Tab Edge, which allegedly has an eight-inch touchscreen display with several upgraded features, including an octa-core processor and 3 GB of RAM.

But reports claim that the upcoming version of the new Samsung tablet will have a curved edge display, which is fast becoming a signature feature in the company's product lines after introducing the technology in its television products.

In another news, MNR Daily revealed that Samsung is developing a huge, 18.4-inch tablet as revealed in an Indian trade tracking website. The report claimed that gadget device tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer managed to get a hold of several documents from the Indian trading website Zauba, which stated that Samsung could be creating a tablet device that's bigger than its current 12.2-inch model.

However, the South Korean tech giant has yet to confirm the rumors regarding the alleged new Samsung Galaxy Tab product.

The Samsung Unpacked 2015 begin at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.
