Although it is expected that Samsung will follow up their slate lineup with the new Galaxy Tab S3 flagship, it remains to be seen when the new tablet will debut. Speculations suggest that Samsung will showcase the new slate at the IFA 2016, happening later this week.

While Samsung has already confirmed that the new Galaxy Tab S3 will launch in September, the South Korea-based tech giant has yet to come out with a specific release date for the upcoming slate. However, some industry followers believe that the IFA is the most likely event to showcase the new flagship slate.

In addition, it is also possible that the new lineup will launch early in the month, since supposed leaks of the new Galaxy Tab S3 have already made their way online. In the latest benchmark sighting, GSM Arena points out that the new slate series is ready for launch, as both the 9.7-inch and 8.0-inch versions of the Galaxy Tab S3 have already appeared in supposed leaks. In the specs list, the two tablets, marked as SM-T718 and the SM-T813, have the same display tech as the previous Galaxy Tab S2, a Super AMOLED screen. The only upgrade that the specs list indicated is on its chipset, as the new version will supposedly come out with a Snapdragon 652 processor. The Qualcomm chipset scored higher benchmarks than the Exynos 5433, the chipset used in the previous Galaxy Tab S2.

On both the 9.7-inch and 8-inch versions, most of the features and specs remain the same as its predecessor. The new Galaxy Tab S3 will come out with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage (possibly expandable via microSD), and an 8-MP/2MP camera combination. It is also expected to come out with Android 6.0.1 right out of the box, with possible Android Nougat upgrade. In addition, the new lineups will also come out in WiFi-only and LTE-capable versions.
