Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2 release date, specs rumors: Samsung rumored to be working on new edition

Samsung first unveiled the Galaxy TabPro S last January, during the Consumer Electronics Show 2016. It is a Windows-10 based premium hybrid tablet. Products reviewers mentioned before that it is a good tablet, and would give the Micorosoft Surface Pro a competition. Now, it is believed that a successor is being developed, called the Galaxy TabPro S2.

It is believed that the upcoming 2-in-1 tablet will arrive a within the next few months and could sport a 12-inch AMOLED screen with 2160 x 1440 pixel screen resolution. It could also be powered by the latest offering of Intel with their Core M series processing chip, exclusively reported by Sam Mobile.

The publication, which has a solid reputation about Samsung devices exclusivity, also learned that there will be four models for the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2. These are the SM-W728, SM-W727, SM-W723, and SM-W720. However, it is too early to tell if these models have different hardware specifications or for different geographical locations. It is further believed that some models could also feature LTE connectivity.

The original Samsung Galaxy TabPro S offers a 12-inch Super AMOLED touch screen, Intel Core m3-6Y30 processor processor900 MHz with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.2 GHz, Intel HD Graphics 515 (shared), 4GB of DDR3L RAM, and 128 GB solid state drive for storage.

It also features a USB Type-C 3.1 port (no Thunderbolt support), headphones/microphone input combo, 5 MP front and rear cameras, dual-band WiFi adaptor (Miracast enabled), Bluetooth 4.1 and a 5200 mAh battery that can provide up to 10.5 hours of usage. It also includes a detachable keyboard.

The Microsoft Store is currently offering the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S Signature Edition black for US$749.00. This model does not contain any 3rd party trial software. The Redmond-based tech giant is also throwing in a free Hulu subscription for three months (limited time) and a NuVision 8-inch tablet (while supplies last).
