The rumors that Samsung is working on a massive tablet had been confirmed once more. An industry follower managed to get exclusive promo images of the much-rumored Samsung Galaxy View.

In a report by industry observer and Samsung follower SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy View is massive, with a screen that measures 18.4 inches diagonal. In addition, Samsung has introduced noticeable changes with the new tablet.

Apparently, the South Korea-based company has done away with the physical home button. With the large body the Galaxy View has, it makes sense to just feature a digital options button or tab. However, since the Galaxy View is immense, it is unclear if the digital home/options button will be in the traditional "below-the-screen" setting. Samsung may copy an add-on recent change in Apple's iOS, which places an options/settings button anywhere on the screen.

In addition to the absence of a home button, Samsung also managed to integrate a dock on the back of the Galaxy View. However, instead of the traditional "back cover and dock" panel, the dock itself folds out from the back. Meanwhile, there is also a hole that serves as a handle for carrying the Galaxy View around.

Since the exclusive images are for promotional purposes only, the Galaxy View is prominently displayed in stunning clarity. However, there is no list of the specs of the device, so the performance of the tablet is still unknown. However, rumors and speculations place the Samsung Galaxy View to have at least midrange specs. According to industry observer GSM Arena, Samsung's new tablet will carry an Exynos 7 octa-core chipset, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage. Additionally, the screen will be a multi-touch display with 1080p resolution, and the Galaxy view may come out with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
