Looking at the tablet wars, it seems that product lineups are getting bigger and bigger, with both Apple and Microsoft pushing for 13- and 14-inch displays with their recent products. However, both look small in comparison with the rumored Samsung 18-inch Galaxy View.

According to recent reports, it seems that the massive Galaxy View is nearing completion and Samsung may see it much earlier than expected.

According to FCC documents, the device, codenamed SM-T677A, has an 18.6-inch display, and based on the label allocation sketch, also has what seems to be two stereo speaker grills on the back. Meanwhile, the sketch itself is curious, for in the middle of the back panel, at the top of the FCC-mandated label, is a logo. However, instead of a logo for Samsung Electronics, the image is that of U.S. mobile carrier AT&T.

This seems to indicate that when the Samsung Galaxy View finally makes it to consumers, it will come as an AT&T exclusive.

Meanwhile, the rest of the documentation also indicates that the upcoming Galaxy tablet will also support Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, and LTE.

One more sign that the Samsung Galaxy View is nearing its roll out date is that the specs for the device have also appeared on a benchmarking site. In the specs sheet that was put online on GFXBench, a Samsung device codenamed SM-T670 has an 18.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution, along with 5-touch gesture support. Under the hood, the device is run by an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7 chipset, partnered with 2 GB of RAM and an ARM Mali-T720 GPU. The device is also listed to have a 25-GB storage.

Other features listed on the benchmarking site are full HD face cam on the front of the device, with a 2-MP lens, Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi connectivity. However, the device is lacking in some sensors present in other recently launched tablets, such as accelerometer, proximity, gyro, and compass sensors. The website also lists the device as running on Android 5.1.1.
