For Samsung's Galaxy Note 5, it has been said that the company intends to release the new phablet with the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus before Apple launches its iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in September.

For Samsung's new Gear A smartwatch, reports say that new details in regards to its specs and features have been revealed. Here's what to expect from the new smartwatch device.

According to Sam Mobile, Tech Radar reports that the smartwatch could run on Samsung's own Tizen operating system, instead of Android Wear.

The Gear A smartwatch is expected to sport a Super AMOLED display screen with a 360 x 360 pixel resolution. However, no news in regards to the size of the display screen has been mentioned. GSM Arena reports that it could sport a 1.65-inch screen.

Under the hood, the new smartwatch is expected to come with an Exynos 3472 processor at 1.2GHz, a 768MB RAM and 4GB internal memory storage. It will support Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity and will be powered by a 250 mAh battery. In addition, other features include an accelerometer, a gyroscope, GPS, barometer, and a heart rate monitor.

The new Gear A smartwatch comes after the release of Samsung's "Gear Live" smartwatch device about more than a year ago. The Samsung Gear Live runs on the Android Wear and comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 processor.
