The Samsung Gear S3 is just around the corner, if the latest rumor about the smartwatch is anything to go by. It is being reported that the device will be unveiled this September.

The Samsung Gear S3 will reportedly be launched at the IFA Berlin next month. After all, it was during the same event that its predecessors turned heads and wowed users in the last couple of years.

This year, the IFA event, which is deemed the biggest electronics show in Europe, will be held from Sept. 2 to 7. However, Android Headlines reports the Samsung Gear S3 will be released on Sept. 1.

It is during the IFA that Samsung unveils its new Galaxy Note offerings. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be unveiled next month, which is earlier than usual, at a separate Unpacked event.

Despite this, though, the Samsung Gear S3 won't be alone at the Berlin tech show as Samsung is expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 alongside the Samsung Galaxy S3 at IFA.

The Samsung Gear S3 was referred to as Solis inside the Samsung offices. It is expected to come in different variants and two carrier models are reportedly being prepared as well.

Design-wise, the smartwatch is expected to come with the same form factor as that of its predecessor, which means that it will be keeping its round watch face.

However, the Samsung Gear S3 is expected to come with a more chic design in the form of a metallic chassis and a wristband. On the software side of things, the device will don the Tizen operating system.
