Samsung 13 inch tablet in the works? Follow-up to NotePRO, TabPRO

Samsung NotePRO

Latest rumors claim that Samsung is working on a tablet with 13.3 inches screen panel and 2560×1600 pixel resolution.

GSMArena cited an unnamed source saying that Samsung is currently developing a "Warhol" tablet with a screen slightly over 13 inches. Samsung released a 12.2 inch screen slate dubbed as NotePRO and TabPRO tablets which were announced early this year.

The NotePRO and TabPRO slates turned the heads of many during their launch at the Consumers Electronics Show in January. It is among the first tablets to pack such huge screen displays.

The Warhol tablet is reported to feature an LCD display, insteads of the AMOLED screen panel used in other Samsung devices. Moreover, the device will come in Wi-Fi-only (T910) and 3G (T911) variants.

There is no stopping Samsung in increasing the size of its screen panels. While the 13.3 inch tablet will not be the most portable device on the market, it will bring delight to users who seek large screens. The tablet is perfect for buyers who love to watch TV shows or movies on their tablet. Indeed, the "Warhol" tablet is something that everyone must keep an eye on.

Meanwhile, other reports also claimed that aside from the 13.3 inch tablet, the South Korean tech company is also working on Galaxy Tab S tablets. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will reportedly feature 2560×1600 AMOLED displays.

Rumor has it that the 8.4-inch model nicknamed "Klimt" will be available in Wi-Fi-only (T700) and 3G (T701) variants. The 10.5-incher dubbed as "Chagall" will also be offered in Wi-Fi-only (T800) and 3G (T801) versions.

Details and the release date of the aforementioned tablets were still unknown as Samsung remained tight lipped about its plans and roadmaps this year. However, it is most likely that the tech giant will launch the tablets in October parallel to Apple's release of its own iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.
