The San Antonio Spurs plan to pull out all the stops to snag LaMarcus Aldridge once he becomes a free agent this off season. And Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard will be there to help out according to reports.

Aldridge has made it known that he intends to seriously check out the free agent market and that has got a lot of teams in a frenzy. The Spurs have been adamant towards trying to lure Aldridge, a move that could be crucial considering that most of their main crew are nearing the end of their career.

One of them is of course Tim Duncan, the man who Aldridge could very well be replacing. Duncan will be returning despite his age but at any time, the Spurs star could call it quits. But before he does, he will try his best to convince Aldridge to join the five-time NBA champions.

Duncan won't be alone in wooing Aldridge.

Kawhi Leonard, the young and rising star for the Spurs is expected to be handed a max contract after which he will be empowered by the Spurs to help out in recruiting Aldridge.

Aldridge could practically get what any player would want, a lucrative contract and a shot at the NBA title.

The Spurs have a flexible salary cap to accommodate Aldridge where he could earn as much as $102 million for five years. However with a possible salary cap increase in 2016, he could opt for a two year deal initially and then renegotiate after that tenure.

Aldridge could see more improvements to his game, an area where Duncan and head coach Gregg Popovich can certainly help out. More than anything else, he comes to a team oozing with winning traditions, five NBA titles to prove all that.

With money and an NBA title, what else could Aldridge look for? That could all depend on what other suitors (teams) will be able to give him.
