'Scandal' season 5B spoilers: Huck, Quinn patch things up

There is a new couple alert in "Scandal," as fans could not help but swoon in the new photos showing Huck (Gullermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) goofing off on set. Does this mean the pair will soon be reunited in season 5?

Huck and Quinn were romantically involved in the past installments. During the end of season 4, though, things turned ugly between them when Quinn discovered Huck's connection to Rowan (Joe Morton). She learned that he once worked under Olivia's (Kerry Washington) father and flew into a rage. Quinn almost killed Huck that night and it appeared to be the end of whatever involvement they might have with each other.

With photos of the pair in the series' official Facebook page going viral, fans cannot help but hope that they will be reunited soon. Huck has been alone ever since he left his wife and son in the course of his job as a B613 agent. Most of the comments state that it is time for him to be happy once more. Some are looking forward to the scene where Quinn forgives Huck and they can start anew with their relationship.

Meanwhile, if Huck and Quinn's connection is gearing toward the positive, speculations are rife that Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and Olivia's separation is final and that the POTUS has moved on. Rumors posit that there is a high chance that Fitz will be shifting his attention to someone else, after learning of Liv's actions. She aborted their child soon after leaving him. The President still does not know about this, though, which fuels the stories that he would be horrified once he does find out.

In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Goldwyn denied that his character would find a new love so soon, as he was still hoping that Liv would return to him.

"I can't imagine how Fitz will react when he finds out about the abortion. But his feelings for Olivia defy logic. If Fitz were smart, he'd stay 100 miles away from her; he should get in another relationship because, really, how much abuse can two people take?" he said.

"Scandal" season 5 will return on Feb. 11, 2016 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
