'Scandal' season 5 episode 16 spoilers: Susan's destructive secrets start to come to light in 'The Miseducation of Susan Ross'

Liv learns of Susan's secrets in "Scandal" season 5 episode 15.ABC

It's time for the first Republican debate but this should be the least of Susan Ross's worries. An account of her deepest and darkest secrets goes into the wrong hands in the next episode of "Scandal" season 5, which is aptly titled "The Miseducation of Susan Ross."

In episode 15, Olivia came across incriminating files pinning Susan to various offenses. Before Olivia makes her move, she had the documents fact-checked by the Gladiators to verify the authenticity.

And just like that, Susan's well-hidden skeletons in the closet are about to be out in the open.

"She's not just a liar. She's a thief unfit to be president," Quinn declares in her eureka moment in the "Scandal" season 5 promo.

The clip also apparently suggests that she will bring these disparaging files to Fitz. Whatever Olivia has planned remains to be seen but she certainly has the upper hand now.

Susan will be in a bad light in the next "Scandal" season 5 for sure. Her odds in becoming the president of the United States will definitely slim down when Liv's discovery is laid bare.

But even without including this tragedy into the picture, Susan already has a lot on her plate. She is currently struggling to wrap her head around David cheating on her.

At the moment, the presidential candidate has no idea that David has been seeing Elizabeth behind her back. She only knows that David has another woman. Will David's secret be revealed as well in the upcoming "Scandal" season 5 episode?

Meanwhile, Cyrus will continue to entertain his own political interests, something Alex will not be too thrilled about in the event he finds out.

Since Frankie's brother entered the picture, nothing has come out of it but fallout. It looks like this won't change in the next "Scandal" season 5 installment.

"Scandal" season 5 episode 16 "The Miseducation of Susan Ross" airs March 31 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
