The next time viewers see Liv and the rest of "Scandal" season 5 will be the last time for this year. This week, ABC will air this season's winter finale and if the promo is any indication, it will be a crazy and intense midseason-ender to watch out for.

The episode is titled "Baby, It's Cold Outside" but this installment is unquestionably on fire. While "America is starting to fall for Olivia Pope," as teased in the promo, the first lady treatment is taking its toll on the political fixer. Although she's all smiles outside, Liv, in reality, is about to snap.

The "Scandal" season 5 finale will see Liv take on the role of a First Lady, which she is obviously isn't enjoying. It remains to be seen where this will lead Liv and what it makes her do but it certainly puts a strain on her relationship with President Fitz.

Meanwhile, Mellie could only hope she can perform again the First Lady responsibilities that Liv detests doing. While it looks like Mellie was stripped of the authority, she is, in no way, powerless and she will show just how much power and rage she still has to the person that took her place.

The "Scandal" season 5 winter finale would not be complete without intense Rowan action, so fans are going to get a lot of exciting moments of Papa Pope, who Huck and Jake continues to hunt down. The promo shows they at long last pin him down.

"I know what you want," Huck tells to Rowan, who shows fears in his eyes and looks like the threat has gotten into him. The next time they are seen together, the former is strangling the latter. Rowan then encourages Huck to do whatever it is that he came for.

The "Scandal" season 5 winter finale is shaping up to be a thrilling ending that would certainly have fans wanting for more. "Baby, It's Cold Outside" airs Nov. 19 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
