Major changes will happen in Olivia Pope's (Kerry Washington) life when "Scandal" returns for season 5.

The plot for the second half of "Scandal" season 5 will feature a six-month time jump after the tumultuous events that happened to the people within the White House before the show took a holiday break.

During the Television Critics Association press tour, Washington revealed that a lot of things have changed for Olivia after everything that happened to her when her relationship with President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) became public.

"What happened at the end of the winter finale is a huge decision for her, and she's a different woman because of it," the critically acclaimed actress said.

Series executive producer Shonda Rhimes echoed Washington's remarks.

"We really went full White House for the first half of the season. The people that you're coming back to for the second half of the season have been fundamentally changed forever when we come back to them. The evolution of those people is exactly where I have been hoping they were going, so I'm very excited about it," she said in front of the press panel.

The recently released trailer for the second half of the season also showed Olivia, Quinn (Katie Lowes), Huck (Guillermo Diaz), and Marcus (Cornelius Smith Jr.) wearing crisp suits that hints at the Gladiators being back in business.

"We are never done. We do not give up." the red trench coat-wearing Olivia said in the 30-second trailer.

On the other hand, Huck declared that his rules must be implemented, while putting on his black leather jacket and fixing his shoes.

The new member of Olivia's team, Marcus, claimed that in the war that they are about to face, no script will be followed, while Quinn made an invitation to become a "Gladiator in a suit."

The fifth season of "Scandal" will return to ABC on Feb. 11.
