Schoolgirl to be buried 16 years after disappearance

LONDON - Schoolgirl Vicky Hamilton, whose remains were found this month at a house in Kent, will be buried on Friday, more than 16 years after she disappeared.

The 15-year-old, who disappeared from Bathgate, West Lothian, in 1991, will be buried in a plot where her father Michael Hamilton told the BBC he himself wants to be interred.

Her body was found at the former home of Peter Tobin in Margate, Kent, almost three weeks ago, alongside the remains of missing student Dinah McNicol.

Tobin, 61, has since been charged with Hamilton's murder.

Her funeral takes place at Redding Parish Church in Redding near Falkirk, a short distance from where she lived at the time of her disappearance.

She will then be buried in a plot at Grandsable cemetery in nearby Polmont, Stirlingshire.
