'Scorpion' season 3 spoilers: Can Walter convince Paige to have a relationship with him?
Despite Katharine McPhee and Elyes Gabel's announcement about the end of their relationship, their characters in "Scorpion" might still have a chance when action series returns for season 3 in October.
At the end of season 2, Gabel's character Walter O'Brien finally realized that he is in love with McPhee's Paige Dineen. But his realization might have come too late, since Paige decided to join Tim (Scott Porter) at a jazz festival in Lake Tahoe. Could Walter reach Lake Tahoe in time to confess his love for Paige?
During the press panel at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con, executive producer Nicholas Wootton revealed that the viewers will find out what will happen to Walter and Paige in the premiere episode of "Scorpion" season 3.
"You're going to get resolution on a lot of things," Wootton said during the panel, as reported by CBS. The executive producer also revealed that Walter will be seen in Tahoe where Paige and Tim stayed over for a weekend in the first episode of the season.
McPhee teased that fans will see an exciting turn of events in Paige and Walter's relationship. According to the actress, there will be "an interesting interaction when Walter shows up!" However, it seems like the two might still be far from being an item in the upcoming season. McPhee said that Paige's romantic feelings for Walter will still be present in the upcoming season, but it will be "dormant" because she is still unsure if he is already prepared for a relationship with her.
Meanwhile, Eddie Kaye Thomas revealed during the panel that the members of the Scorpion team might focus more on their interpersonal relationships in season 3. According to the actor, who portrays the role of a behavioral psychiatrist in the series, the team might be good at saving the world, but they having trouble with interacting with one another.
"They have trouble relating to each other, and we are being forced to interact more, and the relationships are going to be more and more intimate," Thomas said.
The two-hour season premiere of "Scorpion" season 3 will air on CBS on Oct. 3.
