"Scorpion" season 2 returns with fresh episodes tonight, and as can be seen in the new trailer released, Walter (Elyes Gabel) and Paige (Katharine McPhee) gave in to their emotions and kissed, with the whole team watching in awe.

In a report from Entertainment Weekly, show executive producer Nicholas Wootton talked about how Walter and Paige's relationship will evolve in the coming season.

According to Wootton, audiences will "definitely" see a progress in their relationship, but the two will be in more of a "stop-and-start" situation.

Walter and Paige will be seen balancing the special understanding that they have with their relationship with the rest of the team members.

Despite having kissed, the two won't immediately jump into a relationship, as noted in TVGuide, and the season will feature some complications between the two characters' relationship as it progresses.

Meanwhile, season 2 will also promise more action than it had back in season 1; not only that, there will also be more comedy, according to McPhee.

The actress went on saying that although the show is a drama series, she still considers it a dramedy with a bit of action, as reported in CBS News.

In the same report, it was revealed that more drama will be given to audiences when episode 3 airs, since the team will face some issues.

Robert Patrick, who plays Cabe Gallo in the show, said that the team will be facing many challenges. For one, Sylvester (Ari Stidham), one of the team members, got locked in prison and they have to do something to get him out.

Other things to expect from season 2 include the many cases that the team needs to wrap up despite some unpleasant circumstances. TV Guide also reported that the team will be visiting Cuba and Eastern Europe and viewers should expect an underwater scene.

As for Cabe's character, executive producer Nick Santora said the season will hopefully show the federal agent reach the point where he will be over the fact that he lost his family and will pick himself up and start anew outside of Scorpion.

New episodes of "Scorpion" season 2 premieres tonight at 9 p.m. EST.
