Scotland's Youth Leaders are getting ready for 'Deep Impact'

The fourth bi-annual 'Deep Impact' Christian youth work training conference is set to take place at the Aviemore Highland Resort from 19 - 21 January 2007.

'Deep Impact' provides an opportunity for those working with young people to receive both practical and biblical input from skilled youth practitioners and theologians.

Previously organised by Highlands and Islands Youth for Christ, 'Deep Impact' is this year being hosted by the Scottish Christian Youth Work Forum.

"Having overseen the birth and development of 'Deep Impact' over the last six years, I am very happy to see SCYWF broaden its appeal even further to the Christian youthworkers across Scotland," said Iain Clyne, director of YFC Highlands and Islands.

Main sessions will give delegates something to chew over and optional seminars will provide practical training at various levels on a whole range of subjects relating to young people and youth work.

All in all, participants will come away equipped with the knowledge, tools, skills and connections that will enable them to reach teenagers in Scotland with the love of Christ.

The minimum age limit is 18 and teaching seminars will include a young and emerging leaders stream (18-24yrs).

The course costs £120, which includes all accommodation, meals and conference fees, as well as access to many of the resort's leisure facilities.
