Upcoming action-adventure video game "Sea of Thieves" is yet to come out. However, given potential issues with the game, developers Rare Ltd. has decided to put up another beta. There is not much new to expect in the game but it definitely gives players more chances of trying things out.

The closed beta this time is to test out how the servers of the game will be holding up once the game gets its full release. Rare Ltd. will definitely be expecting a lot of players especially in the first weeks of the game. Thus, in the closed beta, they have already announced that they will be be putting high stress on the server.

"With this added scale we expect — and plan— to see issues, that we can learn from and address," reads the official post from the "Sea of Thieves" website. Not only are we looking to hit scale, we will also purposefully be stressing our services by throttling performance at certain times, testing the game in different data centres around the world, and simulating deliberate outages."

That said, those who will be playing the game again during the closed beta will have to be a lot more patient this time around. Putting high stress on the servers will definitely be affecting the gameplay of many players. They have already warned that they indeed will be expecting issues to come up.

For those who have yet to try out the beta and can do so this weekend, all they need to do is to download the Xbox Insider Hub from the Microsoft store. When installed, select Insider content and go to Games. The game would either appear as the name or "Sea of Thieves Scale Test." Click join and players will be redirected back to the store where they can download the game.

This weekend's closed beta for "Sea of Thieves" has started since Friday, March 2, 2018, at 5 a.m. EST. It will end on Sunday at the same time. As this is again another closed beta, only players from the original beta will be able to get on the servers.
