A number of National Football League (NFL) teams already had deals to keep their franchise players but the Seattle Seahawks are yet to strike a deal with Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson, who remains confident despite the situation.

Attending the ESPY Awards with girlfriend Ciara at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles last Wednesday, Wilson said according to ESPN regarding his contract situation, "It'll all work out."

If Seattle will not be having a deal for Wilson, he will be playing under the final year of his rookie contract that will earn him $1.54 million.

"I love Seattle, it's a great city. I'm going to play my butt off every day. That's all I know, and we'll see what happens," the 26-year-old also said.

Wilson already expressed his desire to stay with the Seahawks and said he will be playing the best he can next season even if they do not reward him with a new contract.

But previous reports said that Wilson is looking for a multiyear deal to be the highest paid player in the NFL.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll spoke about the matter Tuesday while attending another awarding ceremony.

"Well, he's crucial, as are all of our guys, and we want him back playing for us forever. There's a lot of work being done. It's underway right now and maybe it happens, I don't know. We're hoping for it," Carroll said according to the Seattle Times.

Wilson is certainly "crucial" for the Seahawks as he helped them to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances in the past two seasons and won Super Bowl XLVIII, the first ever for the franchise. 

Unfortunately last season, they lost to the New England Patriots 28-24 with Wilson being involved in the play that may have caused them the Super Bowl. 

Wilson threw an interception with 23 seconds remaining for the Patriots to seal the victory.
