The return of Kam Chancellor motivated the Seattle Seahawks, but now they might be dealing with another absence as last season's leading rusher running back Marshawn Lynch is uncertain against the Detroit Lions with a hamstring injury. 

Lynch suffered the injury in the second quarter against the Chicago Bears last Sunday, which they won for their first victory of the 2015 season after losing their first two games. 

Due to the injury, Lynch is 50–50 for Monday Night Football's game against the Lions, ESPN reported. 

In their game against the Bears, the 29-year-old running back only had five carries, which, according to ESPN, was the fewest in all the regular season games he played for Seattle. 

Last season, Lynch contributed heavily to the success of the Seahawks having 280 carries for 1,306 yards, and 13 touchdowns. 

This 2015, the five-time Pro Bowler has 38 carries for 128 yards and is yet to score a touchdown in three games played. 

In a report by NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was asked whether he knows if Lynch can play against the Lions and he answered, "Not at this point. It's going to take us all week to figure out and see how he is."

Carroll was optimistic after Lynch suffered the injury believing that it would not be a long-term issue but in the report by Pro Football Talk, he said they are still gathering information about it. 

"I know he wants to play and he's determined to try to do that, so we'll just see. . . . It may go all the way to game day," he added. 

If Lynch will be unable to play this Monday, it will be just the second regular season game he will miss in his entire stint with the Seahawks. 

ESPN mentioned in their report that Lynch only missed a game since being traded to Seattle and that was in 2011 due to a back injury.
