Quarterback Russell Wilson has not inked a deal yet with the Seattle Seahawks. But in an interview with ESPN reporter Marty Smith Monday, the Super Bowl XLVIII-winning quarterback said he would be willing to play no matter how much he would be getting.

Smith asked him what he deserved with all the wins he has had with Seattle and the credentials, and Wilson joked, saying: "I don't know. How much would you pay me, Marty?"

The football player added: "Ultimately, it comes down to the play. I let my play speak for itself and let the rest take care of itself. I continue to love the game for what it is and continue to fight and continue to play no matter how much I'm getting paid, no matter if it's $25 million or if it's $1.5 million. I'll be ready to go."

According to ESPN, Wilson, 26, wants to be the highest-paid player in the National Football League and is looking for a multiyear deal.

Next season will be the final year in Russell's rookie contract since getting drafted by the Seahawks in the third-round in 2012.

Wilson is set to earn $1.54 million in the upcoming season, far less lucrative than the multiyear deal he reportedly wants.

When Smith asked Wilson about his relationship with the Seahawks, he replied: "It's great. I don't think it's a bad relationship by any means."

"I had the opportunity to win the first Super Bowl in franchise history. Obviously, I want to stay in Seattle. I love Seattle," he added.

Wilson said he would trust in the process, do everything he could and let the rest "speak for itself."

"When it's all done and my career's over, hopefully, 17 years from now, I can look back and, hopefully, it's a job well done. That's all I can do and all I can ask for, to give it my all every day. It'll work out if I do that," he added.
