Second Narnia Film On Its Way

While The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe continues to rake in millions at the box office with its fourth consecutive weekend at the top of the foreign box office, plans for a second Chornicles of Narnia are already underway. The next Narnia sequel was recently confirmed as Prince Caspian.

The production will begin filming this autumn and will feature the same child actors- Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy- from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Andrew Adamson , director of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, has already said that Caspian would be his first choice for a sequel, as it’s the only other book in the Narnia series that contains all four Pevensie children.

“If we don’t make it now, we’ll never be able to because they’ll be too old,” said Adamson according to ContactMusic.com. “That Chronicle is set one year after this one, so it would allow for the kids to get a bit older.”

Adamson added that he would be, “perfectly happy to make all seven.”

While Adamson’s involvement in Prince Caspian is not exactly confirmed, NarniaWeb has reported that Douglas Gresham –C.S. Lewis’ stepson and consultant to LWW- will be on board for the Narnia sequel, although his exact role in the film is unclear as well.
