Earlier this week, Justin Bieber told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush that he still loves Selena Gomez. According to a Hollywoodlife source, Gomez already heard the "What Do You Mean?" singer's interview and that she's "happy and kind of giddy" about it.

The insider said that at first, the singer-actress was surprised that Bieber has been very open about his feelings for her in public.

"The fact that he's ok with letting the world know how he feels about her makes her really happy and kind of giddy. She says she finds the whole thing very flattering," said the source.

Bieber and Gomez dated on and off for four years before finally splitting up in December 2014. Despite their breakup, both of them said that they continue to be good friends and that they remain supportive of each others careers. Lately, the pair has been talking about their relationship in separate interviews as both of them have been promoting new albums. Bieber's Access Hollywood interview is the first one in which the singer confessed that he thinks he's still not over Gomez and that he is "never going to stop loving her."

"[She] is someone I love dearly. I'm never going to stop loving her. I'm never going to stop checking on her," said Bieber.

The Hollywoodlife source said that Gomez let her ex know that she was flattered by what he said by texting him a thumbs up and winky face emojis.

In a brand new interview with Billboard, Bieber once again mentioned his love for the "Heart Wants What It Wants" singer, saying that he's "proud" of the woman she is today.

"When you love someone that much, even if something comes between you, it's a love that never really dies," he told Billboard. He also said that it's too soon for him to be seriously involved with someone else at this time.
