Former Disney star Selena Gomez is making the Bible her most prized possession after her rumored split with Justin Bieber. In recent days, the young star has been spotted carrying the Holy Book wherever she goes.

On Sunday, Gomez went to church for Easter Sunday and stepped out of her car with the Bible in her hand.

On Monday, the singer was seen leaving her Pilates class in Beverly Hills with the Bible in her hand. She also wore a sweatshirt that had the word "Sinner" on it.

On Tuesday, the 25-year-old superstar once again came out of the same Pilates studio wearing workout leggings, a floral denim jacket and fuzzy slippers, and on her hand was the Bible.

Sources said that the actress has been pouring focus on her faith in light of her breakup with Bieber. A source revealed to the press that Gomez has been trying to cope by going to church following "nonstop relationship drama" with her former beau.

"She feels so demoralized and alone," the source said. "She felt she couldn't go on seeing Justin if she wanted a relationship with her mom."

Gomez got back together with Bieber in November following their breakup in 2015. Before that, the couple dated each other exclusively since 2011 but Gomez's mom, Mandy Teefey, has apparently always been opposed to the romance.

In an interview with Gossip Cop last January, Teefey acknowledged that her daughter could decide for herself as an adult. She cannot control her daughter's choices, despite what has been written in the media, but she still admitted that she's not thrilled about the young star's relationship with Bieber.

Meanwhile, a source on Bieber's camp told People that he would like her back in his life. The source also said that Bieber has changed and grown up a lot since his split with Gomez three years ago.
