Selena Gomez has a lot of famous friends. She has been known to spend time with Vanessa Hudgens, Nina Dobrev, and Taylor Swift. But in a brand new interview, the singer-actress revealed that Jennifer Aniston is one of her closest pals and that she plays a maternal role in her life. 

Speaking with KTU radio station, the "I Want You to Know" singer talked about the "Friends" star and revealed that they met through her management, who manages the 46-year old actress as well. 

"It was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she's, like, inviting me to her house," said Gomez. 

The former Disney star revealed that the "Cake" actress has a pizza oven and that they have made pizzas at her house. 

"She's very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of, like, maternal advice." 

Last year, Gomez posted on Instagram a photo of her with Aniston, and it was captioned, "I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was 8…I have gotten to have real conversations with such a heart, made my entire year." 

The 22-year old is certainly happy to have someone like Aniston in her corner, as the star recently revealed that being in the limelight has left her "guarded" and unable to trust anyone. 

In an interview with Elvis Duran on Z100's morning show, Gomez spoke about the downside of being famous and that whenever she tries to find a moment of happiness, she cannot talk about it as "it's not safe for anyone." She added that she has had difficulty about sharing with people because "it's going to be ripped apart, and that's what makes me really sad." 

Gomez said that she began relying on her music to reveal her thoughts. The "Spring Breaker" star added that her trust issues is something that she has to live with as she finds balance in her life.
