New reports surround American popstar and actress Selena Gomez stating that she had expressed her desire to mend fences with her mother and producer of the popular Netflix show, "13 Reason Why," Mandy Teefey. However, the details are not clear, depending on which publication people read.

Given the relatively high interest in this story, Gossip Cop has stated that the facts may have been falsified by other publications to capitalize on the scoop, claiming that it was them who got an exclusive conversation with Teefey, and not other publications. As it turns out, Teefey told Gossip Cop that she and Gomez halted speaking for a long period of time starting 2014 -- not even through text. Fortunately between mother and daughter, this has slightly changed.

In what has been dubbed by Gossip Cop as "false report," it was stated that Gomez was ready to approach her mother -- specifically to reconcile their differences regarding the 25-year-old's relationship with Justin Bieber. 

This contradicts other reports stating that Gomez is now open to discuss matters with her mother. However, it is true that Gomez and Teefey have had more opportunities to interact with one another since they both are working on the Netflix series "13 Reasons Why." This allowed them to be able to distinctly draw the relationship line between family and business.

Now, Teefey claims that the two have learned to balance their interactions, which is a good sign in rebuilding their relationship.

Although Teefey did not specify that everything is well and good, she could not speak highly enough of Gomez especially after the kidney transplant surgery the singer had undergone to be cured of Lupus -- calling her daughter "brave," and being thankful for the kidney donor and close personal friend of Gomez, Francia Raisa. 

With regard to the issue with Canadian popstar Bieber, Teefey stated that she recognizes Gomez as an adult, and she is free to make her own decisions.
