Netflix's "Sense8" season 2 has recently finished shooting.

According to a Twitter update by Brian J. Smith — who plays Will Gorski on the show — production recently wrapped up in Malta, the last destination in a slew of international settings for the show.

"That's a wrap on @sense8 season 2. It was the adventure of a lifetime," Smith captioned his snap of the entire cast on their last day on set. Vine Report reveals that the last location the crew was spotted filming at was at the Mediterranean Water Tanks in Malta.

While early rumors hint that the show will be airing a Christmas episode, the other episodes of season 2 will released by next year. Other Netflix shows usually release an entire season in one go, but this has not been confirmed officially by the multinational entertainment company as of now.

There are many rumors surrounding the show but it has managed to maintain an air of mystery and keep the actual plot an airtight secret. Actor Alfonso Herrera — who plays Hernando on the show "Sense8" — earlier hinted that there will be a certain deepness to the story that the show will tackle for its sophomore season. 

"Where the story is going, it's gonna be mind-blowing," he described writer/director Lana Wachowski's grand plan for the season.

Meanwhile, it is rumored that season 2 will be South Korean actress Doona Bae's last for the Netflix show, Game N' Guide reported.

While the actress has yet to confirm the rumors, it was reported that she was recently offered a chance to return to the Korean drama scene after her last stint six years ago. There were also reports that she was being offered a seat as a coach in the Korean version of The Voice.
