Netflix officially launched the trailer of the second season of "Sense8," showing the strong connection among the eight sensates living in different parts of the world.

The trailer opens with an appreciation for the work of the Dutch master painter Rembrandt. According to the opening spiel, Rembrandt's name is identical to his masterpiece, which could be considered as one of his greatest paintings of all time.

"An iconic work of individuals setting aside their differences for a common good. But what we see is not what people saw hundreds of years ago. How we see changes, because our senses are evolving," a statement from the trailer says.

The synopsis of the upcoming season reveals that the fate of the eight characters who are intellectually connected are still being tracked by their enemies. The sensates are also reportedly learning more about the secret organization called the BPO, which is reportedly bent on finding their whereabouts and discover more clusters like them. But the eight sensates must do everything to protect their lives from the group that is plotting to hunt and eliminate them.

The second season of "Sense8" stars Doona Bae as the fast-rising underground kickboxing star from South Korea Sun Bak, Jamie Clayton as the trans woman blogger and hacktivist from San Franciso named Nomi Marks, Tina Desai as the Hindu pharmacist from Mumbai Kala Dandekar, Tuppence Middleton as the London-based Icelandic DJ Riley Blue, Toby Onwumere as the Matatu driver Capheus "Van Damme" Omyango, Max Riemelt as the locksmith from Berlin Wolfgang Bogdanow, Miguel Angel Silvestre as the secretly gay Spanish actor Lito Rodriguez, and Brian J. Smith as the Chicago police officer Will Gorski.

Daryl Hannah will also return as Angelica Turing, the sensate from a different and older cluster who guides the new set of sensate clusters, as well as Terrence Mann who will reprise his role as the ruthless sensate named Whispers, who is determined to kill his own kind.

"Sense8" season 2 will be released by Netflix on Friday, May 5.
