'Seven Year Switch' TV show couples re-paired: Aleshia & Houston Osemwengie, Rachel Farris & CW McGee, Danielle & Eric Wolf and Leah & Neal Carney

FYI

A new and "innovative" experiment on love and its complications is set to begin. FYI is premiering "Seven Year Switch" on July 7. It was developed by Kinetic Content, the same group that created "Married at First Sight," which recently wrapped up its second season.

In this new reality show, there will be four couples chipped in the new experiment, with each pair convinced that their marriage has already turned sour and are hopeful it will get better. Indeed, as FYI describes the show, seven years is enough for partners to go "restless and dissatisfied."

But for those who "wonder what it would be like if they had picked a different spouse," "Seven Year Switch" will help them out by making them wonder no more. This is the basic premise of the show. Split up the couples and pair them with a new partner, who is, of course, a total stranger.

These "new" couples will partake in what "Seven Year Switch" called "experimental marriages" in which they spend time and hang out with a "new spouse" for at least two weeks to help them realize what the next step is for their real relationship.

By the end of the show, the pairs will reunite and together, they will weigh with what they learned and realized in the past weeks if their marriage is still worth another try or is utterly hopeless. To help the pairs decide and "adjust to living with an experimental spouse" are two on call relationship experts Jessica Griffin and Dan Shapiro.

"Seven Year Switch" will premiere on July 7 on FYI with a two-hour episode that will introduce the couples. As stated on the website, participating couples include Aleshia & Houston Osemwengie, Rachel Farris & CW McGee, Danielle & Eric Wolf and Leah & Neal Carney.

The Switch Therapy in "Seven Year Switch" begins Tuesday.
