'Seven Year Switch' FYI TV show spoilers: Strangers couple up

Married couple Aleshia and Houston Osemwengie are up for "Seven Year Switch"FYI

FYI is getting ready for a brand new reality television series titled "Seven Year Switch," which studies the marriage of four participating couples who feel their relationship has gone from romantic to problematic in an "innovative" and intriguing new experiment that takes a cue from "Married at First Sight."

The show brings together these couples, split them up and pair each partner with a complete stranger for a fortnight, which are all part of what the show calls a "switch therapy." By the end of the experiment, the partners will decide if they will reunite with their husband or wife or go on their separate ways.

For two weeks, the strangers will serve as their "new" significant others. They will hang out, get to know each other and have fun with them. All throughout "Seven Year Switch," there will be resident relationship experts to guide the participants, give them advice and help them adjust to the new relationship.

In a trailer released for the show, the couples are one in saying and believing that "Seven Year Switch" will help them decide or teach them which way to go and are prepared whether or not the series will leave them spouseless or set up for them a happier married life.

"We're doing this for us," a woman told her husband in the trailer. "And we're going to grow. And we're going to break the pattern. And we're going to be able to start fresh," she went on to say. Whether or not, this woman is right about her expectations, she and viewers will find out soon.

"Seven Year Switch" will kick off on July 7 with a big two-hour pilot episode that will introduce the couple and share their love stories. The series is another experiment from Kinetic Content, the same company that brought "Married at First Sight."
