Just a few more days before the release of the anticipated remake of the action-adventure video game "Shadow of the Colossus" for PlayStation 4 (PS4). According to early reviews by video game critics, the remake is a big success just like the original release back in 2005.

The remake is set for a Feb. 6 launch and fans are even more hyped with video game experts sharing their verdicts. The original "Shadow of the Colossus" for PlayStation 2 was one of the biggest and most successful releases for the console. Bluepoint Games and SIE Japan Studio were applauded for their efforts to bring back the 2005 classic to the modern console accompanied by efficient and essential improvements.

IGN gave the remake a near perfect score of 9.7 out of 10, just like it did for the 2005 edition. According to the video game website, the PS4 version of the game successfully remastered the game in terms of graphics, lighting, and overall design. Many critics agree that the developers brought all the important elements of the old version in terms of storyline, gameplay, monster designs, and more to the PS4 with finesse.

It also a common recommendation among experts to play the remake on the PS4 Pro for the astounding 60 frames per second experience. The addition of the photo mode was also among the game's contents approved by the elites.

TrustedReviews gave the game a perfect score of 10. Although Trusted had one complaint and it has something to do with Agro, Wander's horse companion. According to the review, controlling Argo in the game is still hard just like in the 2005 version.

The title got a 93% score rating from Metacritic, 9.5 from Polygon, and 9 from GameSpot. "Shadow of the Colossus" really lived up to its expectations based on the high score ratings that it has received.
