"Shameless" season 5 is set to premiere two days from now. Fans are eager to see what the new season will bring to the table, and executive producer Nancy Pimental isn't holding back when it comes to teasing the fans.

Pimental spoke to TVLine and said outright that fans are "going to freak out" this season once they see how Debbie's and Fiona's characters evolve. The Gallagher girls are gearing up for a transformation, which could go both ways.

For Debbie, Pimental shared that her changes will mostly be about the hormonal developments going on in her body. According to the EP, Debbie is becoming more curious about the bees and the birds.

On the other hand, Fiona will be undergoing changes of her own.

"She's still confronted with how to make the best choices, especially when it comes to guys," Pimental revealed.

Actress Emmy Rossum, who plays Fiona, shared her take on her character in an interview with She Knows. She said that last season was "incredibly dark" and now, things are looking up for her character.

"Things have to get better for Fiona because they got really rough last year for her with jail and drugs. She's going to be a little more introspective, and a little slower to throw the first punch," Rossum said.

The actress also spilled that the Gallagher sisters are getting ready for some summer romance. For Fiona, it is Sean Pierce (Dermot Mulroney), a recovering addict who is in Narcotics Anonymous. Rossum admitted that Fiona won't be good for him, but she is already falling for him fast. Further, the actress dropped a bomb about Frank's love life.

"There's definitely a lot that's really funny, but Frank falls in love -- real love -- for the first time, too," Rossum shared.

The new season is shaping up to be one very interesting run. "Shameless" season 5 premieres on Jan. 11.
