Turning over a new leaf is how Frank (William H. Macy) plans to spend his time in the next episode of Showtime's comedy drama series "Shameless."

The "Shameless" season 8 premiere was aired only last Sunday, Nov. 5, but several revelations have already been made. According to the official synopsis, Frank will be looking for a job for the first time, much like a 20-year-old. Fiona (Emmy Rossum), on the other hand, will kick someone out of the building. Kevin (Steve Howey) will also need to reevaluate his life and say his goodbyes as he prepares for a surgery.

First, the Gallaghers seemed to be heading on a positive path as Frank gets a new job. The sudden change from the patriarch came after Monica's (Jane Annabelle Apsion) death last season. Just like any 20-year-old, Frank will find that landing the first few jobs are usually the toughest. So, fans can look forward to Frank enduring an honest day's work.

Frank had also apologized to his children and promised them of a good life. They looked dumbfounded at what he said. If this development proves to be true and continues on, the next episodes will likely focus on Frank's transition from being the worst parent to a good one, if not an admirable one.

Meanwhile, Fiona will be facing a new challenge in her new venture. This is a new phase for Fiona, as she is more used to being under a horrible boss rather than being one. Now, the synopsis hints that she will have to make a tough decision that could greatly affect her. 

Finally, there's Kevin who found out through an old man who had touched his chest that there was a lump in his breast. This had prompted Kevin to go to a doctor who advised him to get a biopsy.

Deadline reports that "Shameless" was renewed for the ninth season, so the series could stretch Frank's change and build upon his struggles during the time. The series was off to a strong start, with its season premiere garnering more than 27 percent of season 7's opener.
