At the end of the third episode of "Shameless'" eighth season, it looked like the Gallagher family was again neck-deep in another trouble.

Everyone who has watched the season 7 finale of the show knows that Fiona (Emmy Rossum) said goodbye to the common lifestyle and all the troubles her family usually got into. However, even if she wanted to fight it, trouble ended up finding her, as seen in the latest episode of the show.

So, what will fans expect in the fourth episode? "A blast from the past shakes Fiona's view of her life," read the synopsis for the upcoming episode of "Shameless," titled "F*ck Paying it Forward."

"Frank gets involved with Liam's school and becomes the most popular dad in the PTA; Lip learns getting laid is harder than anticipated when sober; Ian crosses a boundary with a kid from the youth center, and Kev and V take a trip to meet his birth family."

It looks like Fiona would have a sketchy time dealing with her past, as she, out of all the members of the Gallagher family, wants to change and evolve into a better person. Yet, even though the other members of her dysfunctional family tend to entangle themselves into all sorts of misfortune, Fiona has no choice in the end but to help. It remains to be seen whether it causes her to break.

Meanwhile, Frank's (William H. Macy) involvement with Liam's PTA may mean a couple of things. It may mean he is really trying to embody the "St. Francis" persona he newly discovered, or if he is reveling in all the newfound attention he is currently getting. After all, the patriarch of the Gallagher family is not known to be downright possible. Who knows what his true motives are?

Executive producer John Wells initially told Variety that the eighth season of the series will still end up with all the members of the Gallagher family teaming up to solve a problem. This is in spite of the season premiere showing them to be on different paths with their lives. Will they be able to escape their current predicament?

"Shameless" season 8 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on Showtime.
