Shane Mosley next fight rumors: Miguel Cotto, Juan Manuel Marquez on hit list [VIDEO]

At 44 years old, Shane Mosley seems to be doing pretty fine for someone who retired back in 2013.

After suffering what seemed to be a declining career from 2010–13, Mosley seems to have gotten his act together and inject new found energy which he showcased last year.

Mosley returned on August 2015, winning via sixth round knockout (KO) against rival Ricardo Mayorga. It was seen more as a grudge match, seeing the heat between the two fighters.

While many felt that it was a one and done deal, Mosely seemed to have been pumped up by the win and went on to fight again in December. This time, he faced Patrick Lopez, whom he defeated by total knockout (TKO) in the 10th round.

With a string of KO wins, Mosley seems to have found the fountain of youth and now wants to up the stakes a bit by taking aim at big name fighters like Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel Marquez.

If Mosley ends up fighting Cotto, it makes a lot of sense. It becomes a rematch as well, seeing that Cotto defeated Mosley back in 2007 via unanimous decision.

A fight with Marquez, on the other hand, becomes questionable, especially with the Mexican winding down his career. He recently announced that he may fight only twice before retiring, but Mosley is unlikely to be in a good position to snag either one.

Marquez wants a world title match, meaning "El Dinamita" may not exactly be thrilled to fight someone who is older than him despite his recent accomplishments.

Understandably, Mosley's adrenaline is flowing, but the reality of it all is that not all his targets could be willing to face him, particularly the big names like Cotto and Marquez or whoever he has in mind.

For now, there is nothing official on what "Sugar" has planned. As far as his wish list goes, he may want to take it down a notch, with a lot of boxers up there preferring to fight for big money and, of course, a shot at major world titles.
