Shark Week 2015 schedule: July 5 return with special weekend programming

Shark Week officially returns this July 5, 2015 via the Discovery Channel and fans are in for a treat this Summer.

Discovery will be offering something different this year as they prepare to showcase 19 hours of primetime shark programming. Eli Roth will host the show dedicated to the predators of the deep blue sea with the main Shark Week kicking off from July 5 to 12.

The shows will run through the end of August, where the show will wind up its longer and informative shark programs, something highly anticipated and certain to get followers restless as they gear up for a pretty informative Summer (on Sharks) ahead.

Here are some of the things to watch out for in Shark Week 2015:

Tiburones: The Sharks of Cuba. With the US and Cuba now in a calmer relationship, such has provided a great chance to assess the Great White Shark population off the Coast of Cuba.

Shark Planet. This segment will provide new footage of shark species filmed globally using 4K cameras which should render high quality images and videos.

Alien Sharks: Close Encounters. Paul Clerkin returns to the deepest parts of the deep blue sea to show new and unusual sharks that lurk beneath the oceans.

Shark Trek. Dr. Greg Skomal explores the Great Whites off the Cape Cod coast and tries to find out why Florida has become a Great White hotspot.

Monster Mako is dedicated to checking up on the Mako Sharks residing by the Gulf of Mexico.

Other shows line up include Island of Mega Shark, Return of the Great White Serial Killer, Sharks of Shadowland, Shark Island, Bride of Jaws, Super Predator, Ninja Sharks, Shark Clans and Sharksanity 2.

That roster of shows should be something to look forward to as Shark Week celebrates its 28th year this coming Summer so don't miss it.
